Age Restrictions

About Age Restrictions

All of the items from Cocktail Canaries are age restricted.

By placing an order for one of these items, you are declaring that you are 18 years of age or over. These items must be used responsibly and appropriately.

Delivery by Cocktail Canaries

Cocktail Canaries will only deliver an item to the address used when ordering, but this can include the reception of a commercial building.

We take our responsibility in relation to the sale of age restricted items extremely seriously. Our team work to a Challenge 25 policy. Valid photographic ID may be required upon delivery for all customers. Delivery to a neighbour, locker, pick-up point or nominated safe place location is not available for these items. If the recipient is not yet 18 years of age or over, or can't show valid photo identification when requested, the item will be returned to Cocktail Canaries for re-delivery or refund if applicable.

If your order is being delivered to a commercial address or residential apartment block, the receptionist, concierge, or mail room attendant receiving your parcel, must provide a valid photo ID, showing they are aged 18 or over. If they can't, the parcel will be returned to Cocktail Canaries.

  • A passport
  • A European Union (photocard) driving licence
  • Ministry of Defence Form 90 (a defence identity card issued to serving military)

Delivery by Royal Mail

Although age restricted items can't be delivered to a locker or a nominated safe place location, they can be delivered to a Royal Mail Local Collect Post Office / Enquiry Office / Delivery Office, for age verification at collection.

Royal Mail will ask to see a valid photo identification if the recipient appears to be under 25, in line with the UK “Challenge 25” policy, and a signature will be required upon delivery.

Royal Mail will leave a ‘something for you’ card following any unsuccessful delivery attempt of an age restricted parcel and will bring it to the nearest post office for collection with an age verification check. Alternatively, you can use the information on the ‘something for you’ card to contact Royal Mail to arrange a redelivery.

Photo identification accepted by Royal Mail:

  • A Passport
  • A valid driving licence
